Paramount Disputes Kirkpatrick Lawsuit: The studio said a lawsuit filed this week by former studio executive and producer David Kirkpatrick that claims his projects were sabotaged is “riddled with distortions.” Paramount denied it terminated Kirkpatrick’s production agreement and said it withdrew from discussions involving a mutual agreement to end it after Kirkpatrick made “grossly inflated demands.” Paramount also denied it threw Kirkpatrick off its lot and that it moved his office furniture onto a lawn to humiliate him. Paramount said it will soon file a cross-complaint. Kirkpatrick alleges that his projects were sabotaged as part of a vendetta against him by Stanley R. Jaffe, president of studio parent Paramount Communications Inc.
