NHL ROUNDUP : Richter Extends Unbeaten Streak

Goaltender Mike Richter of the New York Rangers extended his unbeaten streak to 18 games with a 2-0 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night at New York.
Richter, who made 28 saves, is one away from Davey Kerr’s club mark of 19 games without a defeat (14-0-5) set in 1939-40, the last season the Rangers won a Stanley Cup.
Quebec 5, Washington 3--Scott Young started a three-goal surge in the second period that carried the Nordiques.
