SIMI VALLEY : Weapons Seized at Suspect’s Home
Police on Friday confiscated several assault-type weapons at the Simi Valley home of a man arrested the day before for selling a fully automatic rifle to an undercover officer, authorities said.
Todd Schneider, 43, was arrested Thursday evening after selling a converted AK-47 to an officer during a prearranged meeting in a parking lot at the corner of Tapo and Cochran streets in Simi Valley, police said.
Early Friday morning, officers served a search warrant at Schneider’s home in the 2100 block of North Brentwood Avenue, police said. The officers found four additional unregistered assault weapons.
Schneider was booked into Ventura County Jail on one count of sale of a machine gun and four counts of possession of an unregistered assault weapon, police said.
