Entertainment: Sumner M. Redstone headed to Coronado for the holidays without saying whether he’ll raise his bid for Paramount Communications. Analysts speculated that the Viacom chairman may not make a move until the Jan. 7 deadline. Paramount has accepted a $10.2-billion offer from QVC Network, but left the door open for Viacom to return with a higher bid. Redstone has reportedly talked to Blockbuster Entertainment about raising its investment in the deal. At the same time, he may have tipped his hand by telling The Times that the price is already in “Never-Never Land.” Viacom A shares gained 38 cents, closing at $51.38 in Thursday’s trading, while its B shares gained 75 cents to $46.75. QVC lost 75 cents a share to close at $40. Paramount lost $1 a share, ending at $78.63.
