NHL ROUNDUP : Lightning Dominates Senators, 3-0
Darren Puppa had to make only 11 saves as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Ottawa Senators, 3-0, Thursday night at Ottawa.
The victory gives Tampa Bay a 5-0 lifetime record against its fellow 1992-93 expansion franchise. Tampa Bay’s only other franchise shutout also came at Ottawa’s expense last season.
Rob Zamuner, Denis Savard and Chris Joseph scored as the Lightning won its second in a row on the road. Ottawa, outshot, 37-11, was held scoreless for the first time this season. It was their fourth consecutive loss.

Calgary 7, Edmonton 1--Joe Nieuwendyk scored a goal and added an assist as the Flames scored four times in the second period at Calgary.
With the score 1-1 at 1:01 of the second period, Nieuwendyk scored his 23rd goal. Al MacInnis, Robert Reichel and Kelly Kisio also scored in the second period for the Pacific Division-leading Flames. The last two goals of the period were on the power play.
