Wells Fargo Installing 911 Buttons at Some ATMs: Wells Fargo & Co. is testing the “SafeAlert” device at an automatic teller machine where a customer was murdered four years ago. The system, developed in 1992 by a Mississippi entrepreneur after a woman was slain while using an ATM there, allows users to contact emergency dispatchers by pushing the button.
