GARDEN GROVE : Development Agency Director Appointed
David Kennon has been appointed director of development services and will supervise planning, engineering, building inspection and code enforcement in the city.
Kennon had been acting development service director. Before joining the city in February, he was the economic development and redevelopment director in Bakersfield.
He has a bachelor of science degree in architecture and a master’s degree in urban planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
At Garden Grove, he has been instrumental in the city’s effort to meet state and federal low-income housing requirements.
He heads a department of 50 employees.
