St. Margaret’s Game Rescheduled
A Southern Section Division V-AA boys’ basketball playoff game between St. Margaret’s High and North Hollywood Valley Torah has been rescheduled from Friday to 7:30 tonight at St. Margaret’s because of Sabbath, a Valley Torah school official said Wednesday.
Valley Torah is a school for Orthodox Jewish boys, and the Sabbath begins Friday night at 5. The team cannot travel or play basketball during that time.
St. Margaret’s won the Academy League, finishing the regular season 18-3, 8-0 in league play. The Tartans also set a section single-game scoring record in a 151-35 victory over South Gate Southeast Lutheran.
Valley Torah (9-6, 5-2) was second in the Valley League. The Wolfpack was 1-12 last season.
