Santa Ana Man Fatally Shot in Dispute
SANTA ANA — A man was shot and killed after arguing with two men outside his apartment building, police said Saturday.
Alfredo Orozco-Lujan, 21, was taken to a nearby hospital after the fight about 11:30 p.m. Friday, police said, and was pronounced dead when he arrived.
Orozco-Lujan got into a dispute with a visitor, believed to be the assailant, in front of the apartment building in the 700 block of East Walnut Street, Santa Ana Police Cpl. Dan McDermott said. The two men may have been arguing because the visitor wanted to enter the apartment complex, he said.
The visitor left after the short dispute, but returned about five minutes later with another man. After the three men renewed the argument, McDermott said, the assailant pulled out a handgun of unknown caliber, shot Orozco-Lujan and fled with his companion.
No arrests had been made Saturday.
