Outlook: Three-year starters McCoy and Vallely return for the Sailors, giving Glenn reason for optimism. McCoy earned All-Southern Section honors last season and Vallely, an All-Sea View selection, played setter during the season’s second half. But injuries have already sidelined two projected starters. Slick is recuperating from torn tendons in his elbow and Shoukry will be out for a month after suffering from appendicitis. “We won’t be at full strength early,” Glenn said. “But I don’t worry about the losses in the beginning. Winning at the end is what counts.”
