BELLFLOWER : New Sheriff’s Facility Doubles Enforcement
A new sheriff’s substation has been dedicated in Bellflower as part of the city’s effort to increase law enforcement.
Eight full-time deputies and a special investigator have been assigned to the new facility. This more than doubles the number of deputies assigned to the city, said Mike Egan, deputy city administrator.
The substation, which opened in November, is the centerpiece of a community policing plan, and will be used for neighborhood watch and other community activities, Egan said.
