State’s Exports Up Only 2% in 1993: State commerce officials said the slight increase was because of a huge decline in aircraft and aerospace products and a slump in European markets. The export of transportation equipment, which includes aircraft and aerospace items, fell 28.7%. If that is not included, state exports grew by 8.4%. Total worldwide exports of California goods were $70.3 billion. That total does not include legal and financial services, construction, movies, recordings, software and foreign tourism, which would increase the figure by $30 billion.
