Hearing Scheduled on Water Service Fee
Ventura County’s largest water supplier will hold a public hearing on maintaining a $5 annual service fee it began charging customers last year.
The board of the Calleguas Municipal Water District, which started charging the fee to help cover service costs, agreed at its meeting this week to hold a hearing to solicit public input on keeping the fee.
Calleguas serves nearly 500,000 residents and commercial customers in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Camarillo and Oxnard.
The hearing is scheduled May 31 at Cal Lutheran University’s Preus-Brandt Forum, 50 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
