Motorist Killed in Crash Is Identified
NORTHRIDGE — Police have identified a motorist who was killed Friday in a head-on collision on Lassen Street as Mohibullah Helmandi 27, of Granada Hills.
Helmandi may have been trying to control a nosebleed when his car veered to the wrong side of the street and struck a pickup truck in the 18500 block of Lassen Street, said Officer Ralph Kemptner of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
The driver of the truck, Jeffrey Ault, 33, of Sepulveda, was not seriously injured.
Police are still investigating the accident.
