Exports Expand Dramatically: Exports during the first two months of this year grew 18% from the same period last year due to strong demand from the United States, according to a central bank report. Total exports for January and February were worth $6.1 billion as industrial exports grew by 20% and agricultural exports grew 12%, said Pisit Leeahtham, chief spokesman for the Bank of Thailand. Textiles were, as usual, Thailand’s largest export, making up 12% of the total.
