Man Escapes With Cash From Bank in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH — A robber used a note to demand money from a teller at Household Bank and escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, police said Saturday.
Lt. Luis Ochoa said the robber entered the bank in the 19000 block of Beach Boulevard at 11 a.m. and shoved a note to the teller. As the teller opened the drawer and reached in for a stack of bills, the robber leaned across the counter and also reached into the drawer, Ochoa said.
The robber, who was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, dark pants and white athletic shoes, fled on foot, police said. He never displayed a weapon and no injuries were reported.
