Airstrip Issue to Be Discussed at Forum
Thousand Oaks residents have been invited to a public forum tonight on a proposal to use an airstrip at Point Mugu for commercial flights and cargo service.
Presentations on the Mugu Airstrip Joint Use Proposal are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Thousand Oaks City Council chambers, 2400 Willow Lane.
Representatives from Point Mugu Naval Air Station, the Southern California Assn. of Governments and the Ventura County Economic Development Assn. will discuss the size of proposed passenger terminals, cargo facilities and the direction of flight paths. A question-and-answer session will follow.
