Company Town : Brillstein-Grey Lures Lawyer Lloyd Braun

Brillstein-Grey Entertainment has lured prominent Hollywood lawyer Lloyd Braun to the company as a senior executive as part of its continued rapid growth and diversification.

Braun, 35, is expected to join the company in mid-August from Silverberg, Katz, Thompson & Braun, where he is a founding partner and represents such high-profile actresses as Cher, Robin Wright, Juliette Lewis and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and radio personality Howard Stern.

Braun is also well-connected in television, where his clients include executive producers such as Larry David at “Seinfeld,” Rob Ulin at “Roseanne” and Paul Simms at “The Larry Sanders Show,” Brillstein-Grey’s hit cable series starring Garry Shandling.

Braun has no title and is instead being called a “key executive.”

Brillstein-Grey co-Chairman Brad Grey confirmed that the company had been in discussions with Braun for several weeks. He said Braun is expected to help the company in all areas, including representing talent, working on a new joint venture the firm has with Capital Cities/ABC and helping expand its new motion picture division.

* Hanna-Barbera Cartoons Inc. has named Richard Lewis vice president of public relations. He formerly was vice president of public relations for DIC Entertainment.

* A&M; Records Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Guerinot is leaving the label to start his own company.

* Craig Kornblau has been named senior vice president of operations and logistics for Buena Vista Home Video Worldwide.
