CAMARILLO : Rubbish Worker Struck, Killed
A 63-year-old Camarillo man was killed after being struck by a flatbed truck at the Agoura rubbish company where he worked, authorities said Saturday.
Floyd Bahian Undag was walking across the junkyard at the Hillside Rubbish Co. on Friday evening when he was hit by a refuse truck, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Smith said.
The driver, Vincente Orroteza of Oxnard, had stopped his truck to speak to someone at the Agoura Road dump site, Smith said. As Orroteza began to drive away, he turned the truck and ran over Undag.
A witness tried to call out for the driver to stop, but Orroteza did not hear his cries, Smith said.
