MOORPARK : Developer Gets OK to Complete Tract
A plan to complete a housing tract in eastern Moorpark, left unfinished in 1992 when the original developer went bankrupt, was approved by the Moorpark City Council this week.
The council unanimously approved the plan by Warmington Homes of Costa Mesa to build 87 houses in the 494-home Campus Hills development. Members of the local homeowners association voiced support for the project at a meeting earlier this week.
Warmington made its proposal after the council last month rejected another developer’s plan. Homeowners in the neighborhood were opposed to the proposal made by Los Angeles-based Kaufman & Broad to build smaller homes than originally planned for the area.
