Advanced Logic Research Inc.: The Irvine microcomputer systems manufacturer recorded a loss of $1.5 million, or 13 cents a share, for the third quarter of its fiscal year. That compared to a loss of $2.7 million, or 24 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Sales for the quarter ended June 30 rose 5% to $37.8 million from $36.1 million. The company’s year-to-date loss totaled $711,000, or 6 cents a share, compared with a loss of $5.8 million, or 52 cents a share, for the first nine months of the previous fiscal year. Revenue was 11% higher, to $135.6 million from $122.5 million.
