Free Hot Line Offers Commute Advisories
Ventura County commuters who rely on Los Angeles public transit to get to work can call a toll-free hot line for updates on the MTA strike and alternate routes.
Public transit in Ventura County has not been affected by the strike. But some residents may be affected if they take the bus or train to work once they are in Los Angeles.
The number for the hot line, which provides information in English and Spanish, is 1-800-COMMUTE.
The hot line offers updates on MTA bus routes and rail schedules, Metrolink schedules and fares, car-pool and van-pool information and Caltrans freeway advisories.
