Buoyant Business
Movie business for the weekend continued to be buoyant. The total for all films just topped $100 million, making this an unprecedented fifth consecutive weekend to achieve that plateau, going back to the July 4 holiday.
*Director Whit Stillman’s “Barcelona” is doing solid art-house business, having expanded into the Los Angeles market this weekend from an exclusive New York booking.
