Steven F. Arnold; Photographer, Author of Collections
Steven F. Arnold, 51, a photographer and author of photographic collections who also collaborated with actress Ellen Burstyn, director Lee Strasberg and architect Buckminster Fuller on film projects. He held a master’s degree in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and published three collections: “Angels of Night,” “Epiphanies,” and “Reliquaries.” A fourth, “Theophonies,” is to be published next month. A spokesman for Fahey/Klein Gallery, Arnold’s Los Angeles representative, said his photographs are in collections in such institutions as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art, both in New York City, and the Cincinnati Art Museum. Arnold also helped found a performing artists group in San Francisco. In West Hollywood on Aug. 6 of the complications of AIDS.
