Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : $1 Million Worth of Drugs Seized in Bust
PALMDALE — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigators have made one of the largest drug busts in the Antelope Valley this year, seizing $1 million worth of cocaine, methamphetamines and marijuana, authorities said Tuesday.
Deputies found five pounds of methamphetamines, four pounds of marijuana, six ounces of almost pure cocaine and an ounce of hashish after serving a search warrant at the Ramada Inn in Palmdale last Thursday, according to Sgt. Larry Boyce.
Also recovered was $3,000 in cash, he said.
Two people were arrested at the hotel and a third person was apprehended a short distance away, authorities said. They are being held at the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs for sale.
The names of the suspects were not released. Bail was set at $100,000 for each, Boyce said.
