8 Die in Apartment Fire

BUCHAREST, Romania — An explosion Tuesday touched off a fire that gutted an apartment building and killed eight people and injured nine in the eastern town of Comanesti. The blast apparently was caused by a gas leak in one of the apartments, a police spokesman said.
