For what it’s worth, the 49 points UCLA allowed against Nebraska, falling just four touchdowns shy of the Cornhuskers, ties the most points the Bruins have allowed in a game since Terry Donahue took over as head coach in 1977.

USC defeated UCLA, 49-14, in the 1979 season finale. UCLA finished 5-6 season and was seventh in the Pac-10.
