In the final of the Long Beach Millikan water polo tournament:
North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 13, Villa Park 10--Peter Cornue scored five goals for Villa Park, but Jimmy Duff scored eight goals, two in each quarter, for Harvard.
In other games at the Long Beach Millikan tournament:
Palos Verdes Peninsula 14, Estancia 8--Chad Bollenbach and Eric Wayman each scored three goals and Mark Stephens recorded three saves for Estancia (3-3) in the consolation round.
In an earlier game, Bollenbach scored five goals, Wayman added three and Stephens had 11 saves in Estancia’s 10-9 victory over Fullerton (1-5).
In the final of the Riverside Poly water polo Tournament:
Riverside Poly 7, Servite 4--Rob Mattivi scored two goals for Servite (3-1), which managed only one goal in the last three quarters.
In other games at the Riverside Poly tournament:
La Habra 9, Riverside Arlington 3--Dan Ploog scored four goals, Rashad Captan added two goals and Phil Haworth recorded nine saves to lead La Habra in the consolation round.
In an earlier game, Ploog scored five goals, Brian Karol added two and Haworth had eight saves in the Highlanders’ 8-6 victory over Sunny Hills.
Marina 12, Costa Mesa 8--Stever O’Rourke scored seven goals and Darin Smith had 13 saves for Marina (4-1) in the third-place game. Earlier in the day, Marina lost, 9-5, to Riverside Poly in the semifinals.
In nonleague water polo:
Coronado 10, Newport Harbor 8--Mike Peetz, John Jones and Gabe Wyatt each scored two goals and Graham Harvey recorded five saves for visiting Newport Harbor (0-2).
