FULLERTON : 4 Held in Attempted Invasion Robbery
Police arrested four teen-agers Thursday, all believed to be members of an Asian gang, in connection with an attempted home-invasion robbery on Aug. 19 in Sunny Hills.
The four, all Fullerton residents, were not identified because they are juveniles, ages 14 to 16. All were sent to Juvenile Hall pending further investigation and the filing of charges, said to Fullerton Detective Tom Basham.
The robbery took place about 2:30 p.m. when four people, armed with knives and a rifle wrapped in a sack, kicked in the door and demanded cash from five teen-agers inside, police said. One of the victims was able to call 911, and the robbers fled empty-handed, police said.
