Annual Bike Tour to Promote City Trails
NEWPORT BEACH — The city’s Bicycle Trails Advisory Committee will host its 10th annual Bicycle Tour of Newport on Sunday to promote awareness of the city’s bicycle trail network.
The free event will begin at 10a.m. at the Newport Dunes aquatic resort, 1131 Backbay Drive, and will cover nine miles of the Upper Newport Bay bikeway. Helmets are strongly suggested for all riders and are mandatory for those under 17.
The event will also include bicycle maintenance presentations, information about the back bay and free T-shirts for participants.
