Micom Reports Sharp Increases in Profits

Micom Communications Corp., a Simi Valley supplier of computer networking products, reported sharp increases in profits for its third quarter and nine months ended Sept. 30, which it said reflected its strong revenue growth.

In the September quarter, Micom earned $2.22 million, up 83% from $1.21 million in net income a year earlier. Its revenue increased 21%, to $23.5 million from $19.5 million.

For the recent nine-month period, the company reported a profit of $4.35 million, nearly double the $2.28 million it earned a year before. Its revenue was $46.5 million, a 22% gain from $38.1 million a year earlier.
