PREP EXTRA: SATURDAY FOOTBALL PULLOUT : ARROWHEAD LEAGUE : Southern California Christian Shut Out Again
REDLANDS — Arrowhead Christian returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the first half on its way to a 27-0 victory over Southern California Christian Friday night at Arrowhead Christian Academy.
SCC has now been shut out four times this season.
Ryan Donovan and Taylor Mast each returned passes thrown by SCC’s Steve Schinhofen for 22-yard touchdowns, giving Arrowhead a 13-0 halftime lead.
Laramie Lumley led SCC (1-7, 0-3 ) with 80 yards rushing in 16 carries. The closest the Flames came to scoring was in the second quarter. The Flames drove to the Arrowhead 10-yard line, but a holding penalty and two incomplete passes ended the threat.
Arrowhead (4-4, 2-1) added two touchdowns in the second half. Matt McMurray caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Clint Toth, and John Hurst scored on a five-yard run.
Schinhofen completed one of nine passes for 13 yards and threw two interceptions. He also lost two fumbles.
Pat Cunningham had 12 tackles and blocked extra point for SCC, his third blocked kick of the year.
