Remains of 2 U.S. Fliers Located in Japanese River

TOKYO — Searchers have recovered the remains of the two crew members of a U.S. fighter plane that crashed into a river on the southern Japanese island of Shikoku on Oct. 14, a U.S. Navy spokesman said Wednesday.
The salvage team also recovered parts of the wreckage from the Grumman A-6E Intruder attack aircraft.
