14 Die as Kurds Fight Government in Turkey

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey — Ten civilians, including two children, were killed when rockets slammed into their homes during a clash between Kurdish rebels and militiamen in southeast Turkey, officials said Friday.
Three rebels of the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, and one soldier were also killed in the fight Thursday, security officials in Diyarbakir said.
