OUTLOOK
Don’t expect Santa Margarita to have to rebuild too much after last season’s Southern Section Division III-AA championship, despite the loss of all-county forwards Brian and Brad Finneran. The Eagles return Mulligan and Keane, and DeBusk expects Krist to be one of the league’s most-improved players. “Allen really hit the weights, and you can see the improvement in his strength and stamina,” DeBusk said. Mulligan was a second-team all-league selection last season (12.6 point average) and DeBusk expects him to be the leader on the floor. Keane also returns with a year of starting experience, and the remainder of the Eagle lineup will come primarily from a junior varsity team that went 23-2.
