Dearth of Gas Stations

I read your Dec. 28 editorial on the renaissance of the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Mall and surrounding area with great interest. However, you did not address one problem area: the dearth of gas stations.

Many stations were damaged in the 1992 riots, but few have been replaced. As a Unocal cardholder I must drive out of the area to fill my tank.
