Saladin McCullough, a talented but troubled tailback, plans to transfer from Pasadena City College to El Camino, where he expects to play next fall for Coach John Featherstone. McCullough told the Pasadena Star News he began classes at El Camino on Jan. 16. An El Camino spokeswoman would not confirm that McCullough has enrolled, only that he had applied.
Although he played in only seven games last season, McCullough led PCC in almost every offensive category, including rushing, receiving and kick returns. However, he was suspended twice during the season, once for his involvement in a fight at practice, and ended up quitting the team late in the season.
