In other Orange Empire Conference men’s games:

Fullerton 71, Cypress 68--Floyd Payne’s basket with three minutes left gave Fullerton a 69-68 lead, then he hit two free throws with 26 seconds left. Marcus Austin led the visiting Hornets (11-13, 2-5) with 29 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks.

Jeff Cummins led Cypress with 16 points.

Irvine Valley 93, Golden West 68--Freshman Keon Clark had 35 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocked shots as Irvine Valley (16-9, 4-3) rolled. Clark connected on 14 of 17 shots from the field and also contributed five steals.

Rancho Santiago 77, Orange Coast 75--Michael Oliver’s two free throws with 13 seconds remaining broke a 75-75 tie for Rancho Santiago. Orange Coast’s Damion Morbley, who scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, missed a follow-up shot at the buzzer, ending his streak of 10 consecutive field goals in the second half.

John Surface paced Rancho Santiago with 22 points.

In Orange Empire Conference women’s basketball:

Cypress 61, Fullerton 33--Sara Works scored 25 points for visiting Cypress (18-8, 4-2), which held Fullerton (11-14, 1-5) to 13 second-half points.

Saddleback 58, Riverside 50--Maggie Gorska scored 18 points for host Saddleback (13-7, 4-2).
