ROSEMEAD : Canceling of Grant for Youth Center Protested
The president of the Asian Youth Center board of directors has written to Los Angeles County officials to protest their decision to withdraw a $700,000 grant to build a facility for youngsters.
The county made the decision after the expected purchase of a piece of land near the Arlene Bitely School in Rosemead fell through because the grant had been approved on the basis of a proposal involving that site.
