Cuesta 94, Rancho Santiago 82--Marlon Watson scored 21 and Nick Holt had 19 for visiting Rancho Santiago, which finishes 23-9. The Dons led at the half, 47-46, but were outscored, 48-35, in the second half. Cuesta (26-9) plays at Cerritos Saturday.

Chaffey 96, Fullerton 69--Fullerton trailed by three with about five minutes left in the first half when Jason Cunningham got his third foul. He went to the bench and Chaffey went on a 12-4 run and led, 41-30, at the break. Cunningham got his fourth foul in the first minute of the second half and Fullerton was never closer than 12 the rest of the way.

Ventura 96, Irvine Valley 57--Rafer Alston, a freshman point guard, scored 18 points, had seven assists and five three-pointers to lead Ventura (33-1) into the third round.
