Countywide : Dance Set to Support Anti-Gang Magazine
La Calle, a nonprofit magazine written and illustrated by former and current gang members to persuade Orange County youths to steer clear of gangs, is inviting the public to a fund-raising dinner and dance today.
UC Irvine student Jaime Cruz and his Chicano/Latino Drama Club will perform at the event, which will be at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 143 S. Lemon St., Orange.
In addition, the Mojado Brothers will stage a fashion show and oldies band Deja Vu will perform.
Tickets for the dinner and dance are $25 per couple or $15 per person. Dance-only tickets are $5 per person.
