CS Northridge Football Coach Resigns
Bob Burt, the winningest coach in Cal State Northridge football history, resigned to accept the head coaching position at Temescal Canyon High in Lake Elsinore.
Burt ends his collegiate career with a 55-50 overall record, including a 49-46 record in nine seasons with the Matadors. Northridge was 7-13 the last two seasons as a Division I-AA team.
Burt came to Northridge after the 1985 season from Cal State Fullerton, where he had served for six years as defensive coordinator.
