Southland Micro Systems: In a deal that will nearly double its annual revenue, the Irvine company said Wednesday that it has acquired King Memory and Peripherals. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. For Southland, the purchase of Irvine-based King Memory marks its first major move into distribution in Europe and in the Pacific Rim. “In one day, our international sales go from about nearly nothing to $100 million annually,” said Robert Kanoff, spokesman for Southland Micro. The company, also based in Irvine, manufactures and distributes equipment to enhance the memory of personal computers.
