BREA
Wide Range of Tours Available
The Brea Senior Center is offering a travel program that is open to people of all ages. Dates for scheduled trips include:
* Sunday to Friday for a tour of Arizona. The cost is $679, double occupancy.
* April 26 to 29 for a tour of Yosemite and Sequoia national parks. The cost is $385, double occupancy.
* June 5 to 8 for a Taste of San Francisco tour. The cost is $395, double occupancy.
* June 26 to July 2 for an Alaskan cruise. The cost is $1,763, double occupancy.
Additional information and registration is available by calling the Brea Senior Center travel office at (714) 990-7752. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.
IRVINE
Rail Journey to Santa Barbara Set
Irvine Senior Travelers are offering an Amtrak train trip to Santa Barbara on April 22. A box lunch will be provided on the train.
Participants will take a guided tour of Santa Barbara that will include the Spanish-Moorish courthouse, the Mission, botanical gardens, Victorian district and Presidio. There will also be a driving tour of Hope Ranch and the Riviera and Montecito areas.

FULLERTON
Smoke Detectors Offered for Free
The Orange County Area Agency on Aging is offering free smoke detectors to senior citizens. Fullerton firefighters are available to install the detectors.

BREA
Driving Course Polishes Skills
A 55 Alive class will be offered from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Brea Senior Center.
The course, which is taught nationally, is designed to update the knowledge and skills of older drivers. The fee is $2 per person, and advance registration is required.
The class is sponsored by Cypress College.

WESTMINSTER
Sewing Is Subject of Informal Class
Seniors who want to share their sewing talents may participate in an informal class offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Westminster Senior Center.
Participants may bring sewing projects they are working on. Some sewing supplies are available.
