U.S. to Give $20 Million to Fight Measles in Hemisphere

WASHINGTON — The United States will donate $20 million to an effort to eliminate measles in this hemisphere.
Addressing the Pan American Health Organization’s World Health Day conference Friday, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton said the organization’s campaign would receive $20 million over five years through the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Daniel Epstein, spokesman for the health organization, said the money would be used to buy, deliver and administer vaccines.
