Countywide : Get a Grip on Your Bonnet--Easter Looks Wet, Windy
Anyone planning to wear a new Easter bonnet Sunday might want to cover it with plastic; the weather outlook calls for chill winds and rain.
“There is a chance of showers and they could start as early as sunrise Easter morning,” said Harry Woolford, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., which provides forecasts for The Times. “It could be on and off all day.”
A Pacific storm is expected to batter Northern California Saturday and then move south. A strong cold front accompanying the storm is “unusual but not unheard of” for this time of year, Woolford said.
Today Orange County should be chilly but dry, with partly cloudy skies, winds from 15 to 30 m.p.h. and highs in the 60s, Woolford said. Highs Sunday should reach 60 to 65 with less wind.
The weather should brighten considerably Monday, with sunny skies prevailing, Woolford said.
