California All-Stars Advance to Title Game
The defending champion California All-Stars won both their games Friday to advance to the championship game at the Sunbelt High School All-Star Classic in Shawnee, Okla.
In the first game, California beat Texas, 7-3. Aaron Rowand and Pat Burrell each hit home runs to give California an early lead.
In the second game, California was trailing Florida, 5-3, when catcher Jake Behney of Norte Vista hit a two run-single with bases loaded and La Quinta’s Craig Kuzmic followed with a two-run double to put California ahead.
California will play the Oklahoma All-Stars’ first team today for the title.
