Salesman Charged With 6 Prostitute Killings in Florida
MIAMI — Five months after the search for the killer went cold, a building-supply salesman was charged Monday with strangling six prostitutes and dumping their bodies in residential neighborhoods.
Rory Enrique Conde, 30, admitted picking up the streetwalkers and killing them at his apartment, Metro-Dade police said. The only explanation he gave was that he was having problems with his estranged wife, police said.
“It stemmed from his broken relationship with his wife,” and prostitutes “were easy targets,” Sgt. John Methvin said.
Conde was jailed without bail on six counts of murder. Prosecutors did not immediately indicate whether they will seek the death penalty.
