Wise to Transfer to Cal State Fullerton
Matt Wise, who pitched the past two seasons for Pepperdine, is planning to transfer to Cal State Fullerton, Titan associate head coach George Horton said Monday.
Wise, a right-hander, will be a junior this fall. He finished with a 6-2 record and 4.38 earned-run average last season. He was chosen to the West Coast Conference’s second team. Wise pitched in high school for La Verne Bonita.
“We tried to recruit him out of high school, and liked him a lot at the time, but he went to Pepperdine,” Horton said.
