Credit Where Credit Due
The very on-target Miami City Ballet review by Lewis Segal (“A Backdrop of Balanchine,” Calendar, July 17) should have noted that “The Four Temperaments” (a Balanchine/Hindemith ballet) was actually staged by Elyse Borne (an L.A. native and bona fide repetiteur for the Balanchine Trust).
The apparent oversight of Edward Villella’s Miami City Ballet to give credit to an artist where credit is due is not as unusual as it is disappointing.
